SUMMARY:Bienvenue à Sill Mahee
DESCRIPTION:Sill Mahée est une artiste plasticienne dont la pratique mêle aquarelle\, écriture et immersion dans le vivant. Elle explore le fugace à travers des formes intuitives où l’eau\, le geste et la lumière ouvrent des perceptions sensibles. Ses séries naissent d’un équilibre entre geste pictural\, vide et matière\, dans une flaque picturale\, souvent ovoïde\, où fusionnent pigments et évaporation. \n\n\n\n\nBasée entre Lyon et la presqu’île de Fouras\, sur la façade atlantique\, elle trouve dans cette résidence à Hyères l’occasion d’un nouveau dialogue avec une autre mer. Elle y poursuit les séries Présents et Souvenirs en initiant Azur-Azur\, un cycle méditerranéen. Cette recherche explore la lumière du Sud\, le bleu méditerranéen et l’identité florale de la ville\, à la croisée de son patrimoine vivant\, naturel et culturel. Aquarelles et chrononotes — fragments poétiques issus de l’instant — dialoguent avec les formes végétales et les atmosphères. \nCette résidence à Hyères avec la galerie LM Studio prolonge une pratique engagée entre expositions\, collaborations et écriture. Her work combines video and sound installation\, generative and interactive technology\, photography-based\, public and participatory art\, and works on paper including drawing\, painting\, and printmaking. \nIn addition to her individual practice\, she works on collaboration projects and initiatives bringing creatives together\, including Immigration Co/Lab as part of the Tribeca Film Institute Interactive Programs\, ObjetoAjeno as part of Cultural Center Spain.Cordoba\, and Recolectivo as part of the Goethe Institut Cordoba\, all engaged in public art\, performance\, and new media. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShe studied Fine Arts at the National University of Córdoba\, Argentina\, and various studies in technology\, art\, and design in Spain and the United States (Parsons\, School of Poetic Computation\, Eyebeam). \nHer work has been shown at the National Fine Arts Museum of Buenos Aires\, Centro Cultural Recoleta\, and Centro Cultural San Martin\, Centro Cultural Borges\, among other institutions and alternative spaces in New York\, Portugal\, and Argentina. \nAzul Ceballos received the Sony Corporation Europe Young Artists Award 2000\, juried by the Documenta XI curator Okwui Enwezor among other remarkable international contemporary art curators.
