DESCRIPTION:Durant sa résidence\, l’artiste a voulu explorer la mémoire et la poésie des chantiers urbains. À travers une série d’oeuvres qui détournent traditions\, objets et traces urbaines\, elle questionne ces espaces de transition où se jouent sans cesse la métamorphose de notre environnement.\nElle invite à une réflexion sur la ville comme un palimpseste\, où les couches du passé et du présent se superposent. DESCRIPTION:“Shane Ackerley is an artist and researcher born\, raised\, and currently based in Toronto (Tkaronto)\, Canada. He earned a BSc in Astrophysics with a Minor in Studio Art from The University of Western Ontario in 2024. His studies in mathematics and cosmology directly inform his creative practice. Ackerley is best known for his “Untitled” line drawings\, but works across various mediums including printmaking\, digital photography\, and python code. He is interested in science and art as a means of fostering human connection. For his residency at LM Studio Hyères in April 2025\, Ackerley will continue his “Untitled” series\, exploring the concept of fields—both as mathematical-physical entities and as distinct areas of academic inquiry.” \nFor more information check the artist’s bio
