VIVAVILLA? = “Biennale des residences d’artistes”
About Camargo Foundation Published in their November Newsletter
EVENT] ¡ Viva Villa !
November 12, 2022 to February 12, 2023
Avignon
This winter, 75 artists and creators will meet at the “Biennale des residences d’artistes” in Avignon. Created in 2016 by the Académie de France in Madrid – Casa de Velázquez, the Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto and the Académie de France in Rome – Villa Médicis, the ¡Viva Villa festival! is born from a common desire to create a regular meeting to bring together artists, creators, and researchers hosted in these three French institutions located abroad.

The Camargo Foundation team will attend several professional meetings to discuss current issues related to the reception of artists in residence, territorial anchorage and cultural policies. Julie Chénot, Camargo’s Executive Director, has been invited to talk in round table with Nicolas Floc’h about what a country or region can do to accompany artistes from around the world (16:30 < 18:30 – Panel 3)
